Who We Are

SCS Environmental Consultants, Inc. is a full service environmental company, which has served the public since June 1, 1994. SCS excels in the delineation and characterization of both soil and groundwater impacts for sites that require corrective action by state and federal governmental agencies (i.e. TCEQ and EPA). Such sites include contamination associated with various refined products such as gasoline, diesel, solvents, metals, waste oil, etc. Specific tasks include soil and groundwater remediation, subsurface sampling, regulatory compliance audits, risk-based corrective action (RBCA), groundwater modeling, surveys, etc. SCS maintains a Texas Corrective Action Specialist license (CAS 00798), that is required to conduct corrective action on leaking petroleum storage tank sites.

SCS provides important environmental products including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Subsurface Investigations involving commercial, residential and industrial properties most of which were regulated by state and federal authorities such as the Texas Commission Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). SCS client base includes corporate, private and financial institutions. SCS has staffed personnel including a state register Licensed Water Well Driller and Corrective Action Project Manager (CAPM #215) and science professionals with degrees in various environmental fields to serve your future needs through the next millennium.

Areas of expertise

We also specialize in the evaluation, sampling and improvement of indoor air quality (IAQ) for both residential and commercial buildings. Sampling procedures for Fungi (Mold) and bacteria include bulk (construction materials), air (Anderson N-6/viables and Air-O-Cell/non-viables) and surface sampling (wipe, swab, and tape lifts) for laboratory analysis.

SCS also conducts full-scale soil/groundwater remediation injunction with project management and regulatory over site, on brownfields, and Petroleum Storage tanks (PST) facilities though out the United States. SCS is currently conducting remediation / corrective action activities in Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. All SCS remediation personnel are OSHA trained (i.e. 40 hours 1910.120 HAZWOPER) and/or supervised by SCS Remediation Manager Richard Berry.
